Who Pays for What?
Nowadays, there are no absolute rules about who
pays for what. However, it is still helpful to know who traditionally
assumes the various expenses. We cannot stress strongly enough how important
it is to meet with your families at the beginning of your planning to
determine a realistic budget and exactly who will be responsible for which
expenses. This will ensure that there are no misunderstandings or hard
feelings later. And remember, bills should be sent directly to the
responsible party to avoid possible awkwardness in requesting money.
